- Operating System, Graphics card ---

cpu: intel core i3 2350 2.3 ghz
ram: 4 gb
gfx: intel hd graphics 3000
os: windows 7 home premium sp 1

- Blender version with error, and version that worked ---

error found in: 273fa0a win64.
was working in: 2.72b win64.

- Short description of error ---

3d viewport shadeless material flag no longer working as expected in edit mode.

- Steps for others to reproduce the error (preferably based on attached .blend file) ---

enter mesh edit mode and toggle the shadeless material option, and you might see that some faces are incorrectly shaded.

i'm attempting to attach 2 screen captures showing the different builds.

Please always attach simple .blend files which demonstrates the issues. This could be a video driver issue which we might not be able to reproduce. In that case having a file would save a lot of time for developers.

So far can not reproduce it here. @Psy-Fi, maybe you'll have some clues here?

hi sergey, i'll try to prepare a .blend file later tonight.

it's not a video driver, as far as i can tell, as i haven't updated mine in ages, and the 2.72b official release works fine with this model. the issue has happened sometime over the last few builds it seems, and is related to using the shadeless material option.

to clarify i'm not using any light sources in that scene, and i've tested different uv maps, materials, textures etc.

the model's faces have had their uv's reset. and i've noticed that more of the faces are no longer being affected by the shadeless material option.

also if you delete the selected face, then the brighter shadeless one changes to another face.

try toggling the material's shadeless option, and only that one face is affected in edit mode, instead of all of them which happens with previous builds like 2.72b

Aha, thanks for the file. Managed to find a commit which broke it.

@Psy-Fi, it is.... f4f5f3b. Can you please check on all the related changes you've made in the area? Afraid if i'll start fixing this issue i might break something you've been trying to fix..
