System Information
Running OSX 10.10.5
2 GPUs: GTX 980 + GTX 980Ti
Blender Version
Broken: 2.78b
Short description of error
GPU rendering suddenly does not work.
In a normal scene, I get the error listed in the Title. When I switch to CPU compute, rendering works as expected.
In an extremely simple scene (default cube, plane, rounded cube, emission plane) I can GPU render without the error, however none of the objects are drawn. The scene "renders" but all that is visible is the environment texture.
I have tried disabling each GPU one by one, testing them separately, but with no result. Restart doesn't help.
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
Unsure if this is something odd on my system, the guys at Blender Diplom overcame this error by re-assigning their compute devices.

Probably same as #50644 and #50639?

Possibly it is similar to #49956 too.

Most likely it's same root issue. Let's handle this all together.
Please try replacing existing cubins in the package with the ones from http://download.blender.org/ftp/sergey/tmp/osx-cubin.zip (this will break signature, but will allow us to know if it was something wrong with kernel compilation we did for the original package).
Update; You can also test this build http://download.blender.org/ftp/sergey/tmp/blender-2.78b-OSX_10.6-x86_64-fixed.zip which has re-compiled CUDA kernels which should fully match the build now. This archive has proper signature.

I downloaded Sergey's build, opened 2 files that previously returned errors, and....
THEY BOTH WORK CORRECTLY.
Nailed it on the first try! Can I take this moment to express my sincere admiration for you guys and everything you do? I'm constantly amazed.

The test build fixed the same issue for me, thanks Sergey!

I have exactly the same issue on Mac OS 10.11.5, 4 x NVIDIA GTX 970 and Blender 2.78b. With 2.78a it works fine.
And yes, seems to work as it should with Sergeys fixed build.
Similar extension of gratitude to all of you developer guys. Thank your very much!
Moving the fixed build to official download location. Will take a bit before mirrors will pick it up and we could fix the download page.
