Could not reproduce here. I am able to delete and add back the same workspace with no crash.
macOS 10.14.

Can't reproduce this either.
@LazyDodo can you reproduce?
Added subscriber: @antoniov
Cannot reproduce it on Windows 10 64 bits
@blademust does this happen if you load factory defaults?
I'm using factory default, i will made a small video. I have it every time
20190320_221707.mp4
There we go
I can't reproduce either, the video is nice but doesn't really help, unless we can reproduce the issue on a developer workstation we cannot fix it, all it proves is that you're not a lying about having the issue, you seem like an upstanding guy, so I would have taken you at your word for that.
However, given my factory default settings do not include
Video Editing
by default so your factory defaults may not be as default as one would hope, try starting blender with theblender_factory_startup.cmd
batch file in the blender folder.I use the command, is working until the 5th try after opening a 2.79 file and save it in 2.8 file LOL. So right now i will stick with a simple worflow until another person have the same bug .
