System Information
Operating system: Darwin-18.2.0-x86_64-i386-64bit 64 Bits
Graphics card: Intel(R) Iris(TM) Plus Graphics 640 Intel Inc. 4.1 INTEL-12.2.17

Blender Version
Broken: version: 2.80 (sub 58), branch: blender2.7, commit date: 2019-04-24 02:30, hash: 1b839e85e1
Worked: (optional)

Short description of error
object coordinates for texture causes blender to crash

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  1. go to shading workflow.
  2. Add any texture node Ex. Gradient texture.
  3. Add texture coordinate node and use object coordinates.
  4. Set object to any object in scene.
  5. crash

Note: it doesn’t crash if draw mode is set to rendered and render engine is set to Cycles

Crash.blend
in this .blend I've set up the steps. 1, 2 & 3 simply select an object from the dropdown list on the texture coordinates node.

P.S. I have tested this on a system with these specs, Operating system: Windows-10-10.0.17134 64 Bits
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1060 3GB/PCIe/SSE2 NVIDIA Corporation 4.5.0 NVIDIA 419.17 , with no crash, but it still will not update in the viewport unless you use Cycles.

Thanks!

Sorry if this is a duplicate report I did not find #63826 (Crashing file) when I did my preliminary search.
