It seems that your graphics driver is quite old, the current version is 440.82. Please try to update it and check if the crash still occurs. If it does, create a debug log file and attach it to your bug report:

./blender --debug --debug-gpu > blender_debug_output.txt 2>&1

@martinbergwerf-3 according to the Nvidia website it should've supported your GPU (*Supported Products// tab).

GeForce 600 Series:
GeForce GTX 690, GeForce GTX 680, GeForce GTX 670, GeForce GTX 660 Ti, GeForce GTX 660, GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST, GeForce GTX 650 Ti, GeForce GTX 650, GeForce GTX 645, GeForce GT 640, GeForce GT 635, GeForce GT 630

The debug log reports that a crash log has been written to /tmp/blender.crash.txt. Could you please upload this file?

Edit: Seems like the information on the linked website is wrong. The GT 630 is officially listed as legacy GPU as documented on this [page ]]. The most recent compatible [ https:*www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/unix/ | legacy driver is indeed the 390.xx.

Can you attach the /tmp/blender.crash.txt crash log?

From the crash log this is the same issue as #75584 (Crash: Pressing T in shader editor window crashes Blender).
