System Information
Operating system: Windows 10
Graphics card: GT 1030
Blender Version
LTS 2020
Short description of error
Unable to open.
I am useing a dell vostro 3368 desktop. Previously I can open blender (I don't know blender). Recently I added GT 1030 for learning it. My monitor has and my motherboard has a vga port but my gpu doesn't. So I useing GPU power from Motherboard's VGA port. My games like PUBG PC LITE is playable in Ultra at 60fps. But Blender isn't opening.
My system spec :-
Pentium G4560
Nvidia GT1030
8GB 2400Mhz
I am useing a VGA port from motherboard.
Install GT1030 -> Open Blender.

I recently notice that my GPU dose not support cuda and unable to meet cycle render requirements. but still why blender is not opening?

Please open Blender's installation directory and double click on the
blender_debug_gpu.cmd
. This will start Blender in debug mode and create log files. Once Blender displays the warning, you can close it and the Windows Explorer should open and show you two files. Add them to your bug report by clicking on the upload button as shown in the screenshot below. The link that is supposed to point to a StackExchange question is the same as the link to the ticket.
blender_debug_output.txt
The error is only happening when my monitor connected with motherboard VGA port. Useing Graphics card HDMi port is working fine and no error reported (Tested with my friend's monitor). For more info see https:*stackoverflow.com/questions/62372029/can-i-use-different-multigpu-in-opengl/62372503#62372503
Also note I did't install cuda tools. Cycle rendering happens on CPU when I am useing my friend's HDMi monitor. On my VGA monitor I am still unable to open blender.

When using the VGA port you're likely using the integrated graphics of your CPU instead of the Nvidia graphics card. The Intel® Pentium® Prozessor G4560 is a Kaby Lake processor with Intel® HD-Grafik 610, which fulfills the [minimum requirements ]]. Please try to [ https:*downloadcenter.intel.com/de/download/29616/Intel-Grafik-Windows-10-DCH-Treiber?product=98910 | update the graphics driver of your integrated GPU and report back if this solved the problem.
No. I am sure it's not a driver problem. I said I can play PUBG lite in ultra setting from VGA port by utilizing my GT1030. How this could be a driver problem? For your convenience I re download and install both Nvidia and Intel graphic driver.
Watch this.
Problem is't solved yet. Same error.
Again for I am simplify the problem.
Expected on point no 3 as ---------------------------
iGpu 610 + GT1030 -> Blender opened -> Displayed on my motherboard's VGA. Whether it's able to utilize or unable to utilize the power of GT1030.
So, I think it's not problem in driver or iGPU or Grapik-Card. It's a compatibility issue of OpenGL API or Blender internal utilization between the GT1030 and iGPU 610. Make sure that blender correctly utilize multi-GrapikUnit setup.

Have you tried to set a specific GPU as default in the Nvidia Control Panel as described here ? Also note that searching for drivers in Windows Update does not necessarily offer the latest version provided by the manufacturers, hence I linked the Intel website in my previous comment.
Unfortunately, according to the bug tracker policy, I'll have to close this ticket. In order for use to investigate the issue we need reproducible steps that allow us to verify the issue locally on our hardware or there has to be a known regression, e.g. a previous version of Blender worked but the current one does not.
You've updated the last comment while I was writing mine. As far as I'm aware there is only ever one device used for the OpenGL rendering of Blender's UI. I'll ask our GPU developers about this, but I'm fairly certain that the cause you're suggesting is not the reason for your problem.

You only uploaded the blender_debug_output.txt, and not the blender_system_info.txt, which is the one that tells us what drivers are installed.
@EAW It seems to crash too early for the file to be written.
@buggySoftware Please open the
dxdiag
program (Win + R, dxdiag) and upload the file created by Save All Information. If you do have ablender_system_info.txt
generated byblender_debug_gpu.cmd
, then upload this file here as well.No such file export from console. So I am unable to upload it.
I checked my BIOS settings. Maybe this info helps. Watch this:-
And I also recently install CUDA core, But not yet build nbody_vs2019.sln in Visual Studio. Because I don't know how to do it.
https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda-quick-start-guide/index.html
To know the Nvidia driver version watch out
For intel driver version, I am useing 27.20.100.7988 dated 11-03-2020
@buggySoftware Are you able to start an older version of Blender, like 2.79b ? If yes, then you can also save the system information from there through*Help > Save System Info//.
Let me check with 2.79b.
But are you sure about dxdiag, Because it can expose lot's of personal information.
@buggySoftware That would be an alternative, if Blender doesn't start at all. With the current information it's not possible for us to investigate this further. However, even with the system information it may not be obvious.
There have been other issues with the Intel HD GPUs, but yours appears to be different because there are situations were the integrated and dedicated GPU do work. The other ticket is #72098 and suggests to set the power saving GPU:
Open the Windows settings go to System > Display scroll down and click Graphics Settings. Select Classic App in the drop-down and search for the Blender executable. Open the Options for the new entry that appeared. Select the energy mode that uses the integrated Intel GPU and save. This has supposedly helped others with issues related to Intel HD Graphics 630.
This is solved my issue. Thanks.
2 simple question, Is cuda toolkit is required to use blender with GT1030? Dose GT 1030 support cycle rendering?
Changed status from 'Archived' to: 'Resolved'
@buggySoftware No, CUDA Toolkit is only required if you compile Blender yourself. The requirements for GPU rendering are documented in the [manual ]]. Unfortunately, the GeForce GT 1030 is not listed as a device with CUDA computer capability [ https:*developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus | on Nvidia's website . This means it is most likely not suitable for GPU rendering.
