Short description of error
Material not showing in viewports with Eevee
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
It simply isn't showing in Eevee. I tried to fix it and adjust my settings. Maybe it's just my PC build?
Thanks for your time :) I'm really enjoying coming over from Maya.

Please upload a video/image file that shows how your viewport looks or describe what u can see more detailed. (Is the object transparent or black or ...)
Thanks for the quick response. Here's a screen cap. The material (with or without a color assigned) shows up as dark grey and flat light.
Is it possible for you to upload the .blend file?
cutelittleme.blend
Not a problem! Thanks again :)
It looks like u set your collection to holdout because your Issue looks very similar to what I show in this video:
2020.12.20-21.09.mp4
Ok this ^ is not your problem. It works fine for me. Try updating your GPU drivers.
I just updated my drivers this morning (I've been having problems with it for the last two weeks). I read a recent post about someone with Radeon having similar issues :(
Is the material showing up if you go to rendered view and how does it look rendered (with F12) in EEVEE and Cycels?
Render view and f12 in Eevee it turns out dark grey (same). Render view with Cycles is grey and f12 it is black.
Have u tried rendering in another file? If thats not helping the only thing I can suggest is trying through older driver versions.
I might try older drivers. I've had this issue with several Blender files I've opened recently. I think it's an issue across all my blender files at the moment.

There have been various reports of rendering issues with AMD GPUs in Blender after recent driver updates (20.11.1 and beyond). Are you able to try downgrading your GPU drivers to see if it helps?
For reference, we keep track of these issues with the drivers in #82856.
You can also try enable
Render Properties -> Performance -> High Quality Normals
as a temporary workaround, however this does not work for all types of objects in Blender.Closed as duplicate of #82856
I think its the driver because the exact same thing happens to me after I updated my drivers to the newest version.
I think the Pro Software for Enterprise driver version should work for u: https://www.amd.com/de/support/graphics/amd-radeon-r9-series/amd-radeon-r9-fury-series/amd-radeon-r9-fury (The enterprise version of the driver is designed for tasks like rendering)
Enterprise works!! Thanks for the advice and time both of you!
