Broken: version: 3.0.0 Alpha, October 12, 2021
Short description of error
Exact steps for others to reproduce the error
macOS, retina screen (or set the Line Width preference to "Thick").
Similar/related: #81827 (MacOS lines that should be thick are green instead)
It looks like the issue is with VSE in general and not with the
lineWidth

Changed status from 'Needs Triage' to: 'Needs User Info'
This should also happen in timeline editor, is that correct?
Also can you check if this worked in 2.93? There is chance This is broken in VSE only due to not disabling blending perhaps.
This is only in VSE. 2.93 is OK.

Thanks for checking. Do you have possibility to bisect bad commit by chance? I don't have access to Mac. Or do you have idea if this is recent bug?
@mano-wii can you reproduce this issue?
Here has been changed how these lines are drawn -
0491052a96
.UI_view2d_constant_grid_draw
>>>UI_view2d_draw_lines_x__discrete_frames_or_seconds
That's interesting though, because
UI_view2d_draw_lines_x__discrete_frames_or_seconds
should be used in timeline editor too. Will check what could cause thisChanged status from 'Needs User Info' to: 'Needs Developer To Reproduce'
I can't reproduce the problem on:
It must depend on the version and mac with Intel.
The solution must be the same as in
82b8c15684
- disable line smoothing.Changed status from 'Needs Developer To Reproduce' to: 'Confirmed'
Ah sorry, you said in other task that you can't reproduce.
But I think it's safe to confirm this.

There is a big chance that this will go into release.

Oops, forgot to check this. I don't see anyting obvious other than setting
lineWidth
which should have workaround already. I guess I could have added #eevee_viewport tag though.@jenkm, does this issue still happen for you? I am unable to see it on my mac Pro with AMD GPU.
Yes, it's fixed now.
