GPU subdiv: visual bug in UV editor when unwrapping in multiple-object-editing #97660

Short description of error
Weird graphical glitches in the UV editor when you try to unwrap multiple objects with subdiv enabled.
When you hit S to rescale the islands the visuals are ok.
Maybe related to #96338, but I'm not sure because I don't know how to turn of GPU subdiv.

Exact steps for others to reproduce the error

  • Add two cubes and mark seams.
  • Add subdiv to the cubes
  • Select both cubes, go into edit mode and try to unwrap.
  • Now you see the visual bug in the UV editor

To turn off GPU subdivision you can go to Edit > Preferences > Viewport > Subdivision.

I also noticed that in single-object-edit the pinned vertices are not marked red with gpu subdiv enabled. I don't know if this is related to this bug or if we should open a new report for that one.

@krieghof this might be the same as #96836 (UV verts dont draw if certain modifiers are present (e.g geometry nodes, GPU subdiv, WeightedNormal w/o Autosmooth)), maybe try with an empty geometry node modifier like in the other report. If it works then you might want to open create a new bug report for it.

You are right that is the one that gets mentioned in the comments. Even though I'm looking for duplicates it seems that I'm missing it every time. Sry for the noise.

As far as I can tell, this is the same as #97086: something is wrong multiple objects are in UV edit mode. Since the other report is older, will merge this one into it.
