I'd also argue that there's still a very slow vertical oscillation across the 360 degree even after you up the resolution to 128 in my original example (which has multiple constraints).
@Alaska I think you missed that it's a render, ie resolution 0 (which is infinite/mathematically at each point, I hope).
Also, I now centered everything and removed the tracking constraints as…
I just tried to remove all constraints on the pivots and cameras and just use parenting and I still see the problem, so I think it's actually the Follow Path constraint causing the oscillation...

Is this because the moment I hit S, it becomes a non-rational spline?
It was made in Blender. Here's the "original" mesh, which doesn't deform on export. The only difference is that I used snapping to straighten it out, and possibly also baked some vertex attributes…
Oh, yes you are correct. I just assumed it was the script.
I haven't made any deliberate changes in that area, but yeah, I too have now failed in replicating it in an empty file.

It's important to understand that there is no "still" here. I created the image inside of Blender and I painted it inside of Blender. For the above image, in my actual working project, it never…
Well, similar, but I now get the proper sized cursor when I first launch Blender and only the tiny one when I wake the laptop from sleep. It's very repeatable, though.
Here's what the distro maintainer said:
