Blender Version: 4.2.1 LTS, branch: blender-v4.2-release, commit: 2024-08-19
Add-on Version: (1, 6, 0)

Description of the problem:

Every time extension is reactivated a new line of "Purge Orphans" appears at File > Clean Up submenu.
Might look confusing, but restarting the Blender totally cures it. Not sure if it even requires fixing :)

Definitely worth fixing, thanks for the report. :)
With the recent rework of the Purge Orphans operator inside core Blender, having a custom operator exposed for this is actually not that important anymore I think. I might just remove the button, or only make it show up in earlier versions of Blender.
