Content:

  • Main organizations and repositories
  • Bug report and code contribute buttons
  • Release status
  • Modules list
  • Links to other developer websites: buildbot, devtalk, wiki

Distinct pages:

  • Landing-page developer.blender.org
  • Dashboard on projects.blender.org
    • Logged in
    • Not logged in

Remaining issues:

  • There appears to be currently no way to see the activity of the entire website, and no way to see the complete activity. org/blender/dashboard is the closest alternative, but it is not paginated so most activity is not shown, and this is only visible for logged in users who have interacted with the blender organization.
  • The content on the logged in projects.blender.org dashboard is rather big. It could be made more compact, perhaps with three columns. 1 for release status, 2 for module links.

@brecht Pablo deployed a more compact design. The list of modules is now in a dropdown. Shall we mark this done for the time being?

It can be marked as done.

Personally however I think the modules should be front and center on either the developer.blender.org or projects.blender.org landing page. That's how we organize ourselves and the mechanism through which we want contributors to get involved and see what is happening.

I agree that giving visiblity to modules is very important. Right now the wiki page is not the best entry point. Will think further on how to improve on this.
