BLENDER 4.2 CRASH: both Cycles and Eevee in material preview is an issue, and Eevee is issue with render view

Did you ever figure this out? I have the same issue after updating to 4.2.
Never had a problem before. running: Mac 3GHZ 8core Intel Xeon 64G of RAM AMD Fire Pro D700 6G
