Delete Branch "filedescriptor/blender:refactor-curves-selection-deformation-data"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
This refactor pulls the call to get the
deformationdata from inside the selection function to the outside.Instead, the data is now passed as a const reference into the function.
This means that the selection function become more independent of the object type, which was the original intent.
Otherwise, using these functions with e.g. Grease Pencil will crash.
Maybe it would make to pass a
Span<float3> positionsinstead. That would make these more flexible (and clearer!), and would probably simplify the process of getting them to work with grease pencil now.Ah! I like that even better!
