Delete Branch "ChrisLend/blender:fcurve_bake_pyapi"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
This exposes the bake function introduced with #111263: Anim: Bake Channel operator
to the RNA of the FCurve.
That makes it a lot easier to use that functionality from python.
For the review:
I don't like that I have to include editor code (ED_keyframes_edit.hh) here.
Should there be a separate refactor PR?
I think this is indeed a nice function to add, it makes sense to have this available on the
FCurve
type directly. And I also agree it's not so nice to depend on editor code. A separate refactor to move the baking code into the
animrig
module would be good indeed.@ -67,0 +73,4 @@

const BakeCurveRemove remove_existing = BakeCurveRemove(remove_option);
I think it's better to make the naming of
remove_existing
andremove_option
more similar. The nameBakeCurveRemove
is already not screaming "I'm an enum" at you, so I found the code a bit confusing until I realised that this is just a cast from theint
to the enum type.Maybe something like
remove_option_int
/remove_option
, orremove_existing_as_int
/remove_existing
?
