The problem looks like it's the same, but the steps taken to reproduce it doesn't work when I try. I'll keep working and see if it occurs again and I'll like the GPU subdivision checked for now.

Are you using a Subdivision surface here? And are you using GPU subdivision (it's on by default. Preferences -> Viewport -> Subdivision -> GPU Subdivision)?
