Issue with Edit Mode

I couldn't reproduce with: Operating system: MacOS 14.5 Graphics card: Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB

Tried blender 4.1.1 and 4.2 (latest build)

Might still be related to #116928 though

@Jeroen-Bakker you're right, sorry, I thought they were the same issue.. Turns out it had to do with the volume scatter in the world shader, so might not be a bug after all..

I should probably add that the tested hardware is a Macbook Pro 15" 2019 with intel chip The gpu does support metal 3 according to 'System information'.

Transparent shadow of object with image texture sequence not updating when previewing animation in Eevee

Thanks for confirming the issue.

I did a quick test and noticed, that setting a single keyframe on the position of the object casting the shadow will enable shadow updates on each frame change…

Also just tested on Version 4.1.0 (4.1.0 2024-02-05), and the problem also appears in that version.

Let me know if there are any logs I can collect or things to try out.
