Hi, this is not a problem for me anymore. Rendering works just fine on the M1 Ultra. I wish I had an M3 though. :-) Sorry for not reporting.
Hi! I would say Blender v4 renders just fine through all frames without crashing now. Mac Studio Ultra M1, Macos Sonoma 14.2.1 I just wish I had the M3 hardware raytracing now :-D
Hi! I have this problem also. Mac Studio M1 Ultra. Render animation just stops after a few hundred frames, and I have to force quit Blender. Let me know if I can help/test something . . .
Todays Stable 3.6 release for Apple Silicon stopped rendering on fram 363 of 2000. Not very stable if you ask me.
Todays 3.6 RC rendered correctly up to frame 355, after that black/corrupt frames. Blender was not unresponsive though so I could quit the program properly.
@mod_moder Blender 3.3.8 Started to render empty black frames after frame 307 of 2000.
@Kent-Davis I tried that one yesterday. Stopped rendering at frame 153 of 2000.

Everytime I render an animation in Cycles, Blender crashes after like 200 frames, or renders black frames to the end. This is whether or not I have the metal viewport on.
