@Douglas-Paul, from you screenshot, it seems like you're still using the legacy Grease Pencil. Can you please enable Experimental > Grease Pencil 3.0, and restart Blender first?
@iss, @filedescriptor, Grease Pencil 3.0 being arguably one of the most anticipated features of the upcoming 4.1 release, some transparency about its current status (what's working and what's not)…
@lichtwerk, @filedescriptor, @fclem, is there any progress in solving this issue? 🙏
@ChengduLittleA Unfortunately GP does not work with OpenGL since Blender 3.5, IIRC.
@Jason-Fielder, @Sergey, @Jeroen-Bakker, could we please have this fix merged as is, just to avoid those nasty random crashes and let @Michael-Parkin-White-Apple sort out the refactoring later on?…
@Michael-Parkin-White-Apple I'll be demoing some Blender 3.6 new features (probably also 4.0) over the weekend. I am afraid it will crash on exit. Any chance of having your fix merged by then? 🙏
Blender 3.6 and 4.0 are crashing on exit after long work sessions whatever the mode with a crash report identical to the first one (see #108836).
I'm noticing this is not limited to the Sculpt mode. Blender 3.6 and 4.0 are crashing on exit after long work sessions whatever the mode. The crash report is identical.
Definitely crashing immediately here on macOS.
@Nurb2Kea It wasn't working with last night's build but it's working with this morning's one (i.e. Saturday 6 May 2023, 02:09:56 b01f5444a3fd -- 3.6.0 Alpha, 2023-05-06).
As far as I am concerned, it's solved as I don't need to cleanup metadata on recalcitrant PNG thumbnails anymore to get them to show.
When metadata is deleted, PNG files display normally:
exiftool -ext png -overwrite_original -all= .
That said, how would you tell every developer to clean-up metadata on his PNG files…
I tried different solutions and only deleting metadata gets PNG files to show up normally:
exiftool -ext png -overwrite_original -all= .
Metadata needs to be deleted to get PNG display back to normal:
exiftool -ext png -overwrite_original -all= .
@ChengduLittleA thank you for your response but I can't get it to work even when clicking with a slight offset position.
What's frustrating is that this was working perfectly with the Metal…
