levels, child particles, and shadow/SSS/AO quality.. Now also works on what
is displayed in the 3d view instead of only rendering, see panel in the scene
properties.
Most file changes were to make scene available in the isDisabled modifier
callback function.
Made preview range be turned on/off using a proper flag instead of just relying on checking for start-frame = 0. It is no longer satisfactory to do that since we can have negative frame numbers, and also having it as a proper flag means that the range can be toggled on/off non-destructively.
Seemed simple but actually turned out to be quite complex.
ND_MODE notifier was being misused, changed to ND_TOOLSETTINGS
Note: Although the fix itself doesn't involve this much, debugging uncovered
that listeners can't rely on notifier->swinid to be correct, since notifiers can
now be added from RNA without a region context.
change how data is added. eg.
bpy.data.add_mesh(name) --> bpy.data.meshes.new(name)
bpy.data.remove_lamp(lamp) --> bpy.data.lamps.remove(lamp)
image and texture stil use add_* funcs
Now it's a bit more robust, tagging images with profiles when they're loaded,
which then get interpreted later on by conversion functions. Just Linear RGB
and sRGB profiles at the moment, same as before.
This commit fixes Martin's problem with EXRs and Multilayer images loading/
saving too dark, and it also makes the sequence editor work correctly with it too.
Also fixes:
[#19647] gamma correction with color management is reset when resetting Curve
[#19454] 2.5: Dither does not work when Color management is enabled
- scene.render_data.frame_path(frame=num), returns the output path for rending images of video.
- scene.render_data.file_extension, readonly attribute, gives the extension ".jpg", ".mov" etc
- player support was guessing names, use the above functions to get the actual names used, accounting for #'s replacing numbers.
- add back quad split order option.
note: tested displacement baking and found it matches 2.4x. there is still a missing check which ignores the active object when baking selected to active but Im not sure in what cases this is needed.
(1) the new text suggest what was the default eye separation before. Now I'm confident that changing the eye separation for the UI is a good move
(2) no big deal here. It's not reading the parameter from the command line. But does it ever read it?
(3) stubs.c update and glew linking statically. patch by Mitchell Stokes, thanks for that.
And now we finish 2009 with a building blenderplayer =D
Now the default eye separation value is 0.10 (reasonable for games with 1 meter == 1 B.U.
The focallength used is the camera focal length (DOF settings). It allow you to even use different focal lengths for different scenes (good for UI)
In order to change it you can change the camera focal length or use Rasterizer.setFocalLength.
If you use the Rasterizer method it will use this value for all the cameras.
ToDo:
- Blenderplayer settings
- Update wiki documentation (any volunteer)?
* Note to stereo fans:
I don't have a real stereo environment to test it (other than cheap cyan-red glasses). If you can give it a try in a more robust system and report bugs or problems with BGE current system please let me know. I would be glad to help to make it work 100% by the time Blender 2.5 is out.
For the record, BGE is using the method known as 'parallel axis asymmetric frustum perspective projection'. This method is well documented here:
http://local.wasp.uwa.edu.au/~pbourke/miscellaneous/stereographics/stereorender/
- ToolSettings had its id.data set to NULL when taken directly from the context (causing a crash in cases)
- menu for changing vert/edge/face selection now a python menu, removed operator.
- wm.context_set_value(), would really prefer not to have this since it evaluates the value as a python expression however there are no ways to define arrays in PyOperators
[#20336] Missing notifier - properties view does not update on UV unwrap
[#20337] Shift select is not working in UV-editor island mode
[#20338] Update automatically menu item has strange icon behavior
[#20339] Select all will quit working in UV editor
* Property update functions no longer get context, instead they get only
Main and Scene. The RNA api was intended to be as context-less as
possible, since it doesn't really matter who is changing the property,
everything that uses the property should be updated.
* There's still one exception case that use it now, screen operations
still depend on context too much. It also revealed a few places using
context where they shouldn't.
* Ideally Scene shouldn't be passed, but much of Blender still depends on
it, should be dropped when we try to support multiple scene editing.
Change was planned for a while, but need this now to be able to call
update without a context pointer.
Quicktime codecType data is a 32 bit value (4 chars coded).
Implemented RNA set/get functions for codecType enum to cope with RNA enum values 24bit precision limitation
Implemented dynamic codecType enum list creation
Carbon quicktime now stores codec settings in "clear" in the QuicktimeCodecSettings dna struct (in addition to the closed atom container in QuicktimeCodecData) to be compatible with the QTKit version
+fixed some warnings
Renaming "Sync Audio" to "Realtime Playback" to make it clearer about its purpose. Internally, it's still called "sync_audio" since that's strictly what it represents, but that could be changed later if there is a need.
* Tweaked the code for operator buttons so that only those operator buttons in the toolbar have their text left-aligned. This is done at layout-block level
* Silenced "file_init" print when opening the file browser
* Disabled animateability of the "active_shape_key_index" for Objects, since this property behaves in a very unpredictable manner, leading to problems with users trying to keyframe shapekey values and ending up keying the list.
* Remove some unnecessary RNA wrapping code
- added "QuicktimeCodecSettings" struct in DNA
- old "QuicktimeCodecData" opaque struct is nowdeprecated (read only use when QuicktimeCodecSettings is not set)
- fixed small bug when importing deep color movies
Note that you may need Final Cut Pro installed to be able to use the DVCPRO HD codecs
- renamed .add() to .new() for rna collection functions since they dont add an existing item.
- remove 'name' as an argument from the new driver target function, better to keep the api minimal and let scripters use the data api for editing values after.
- added some api functions to keep rna api from becoming a mess.
1) SetDisplayArea was created in Blender but we forgot to set it in the player
2) Fix some SCons incs (using lists instead of strings)
3) added more nasty stubs calls (this file is getting big)
* typo fix from last commit
**) it's raining with bolts here and I have to turn the internet off. I couldnt hard test this commit but it looks like working. sorry if sometihng go wrong
I'm not 100% happy with the dome mode description ("physical" doesn't really match the difference between all modes). But for the time being let's leave like this.
eg.
scene.objects.link()
object.constraints.new()
mesh.verts.transform(...)
mesh.faces.active
PropertyRNA stores an StructRNA pointer where these can be defined.
- collection functions rename eg. bones_active -> bones__active, add_object -> objects__add since these should be accessed from the collections only.
- fix warnings in last commit
- added scene.bases (like scene.objects)
- renamed group create operator.
Example
scene = bpy.data.scenes[0]
C = {}
C["scene"] = scene
C["selected_editable_bases"] = [scene.bases[2], scene.bases[3]]
bpy.ops.group.create(C)
Also made operator fake modules not return __call__ (reported by Stani, fixes autocomp. bug)
- adding keyframes now works for bones and other data types (not just ID types)
# Add a pose bone keyframe
bpy.data.objects['Armature.001'].pose.pose_channels["Hip"].keyframe_insert("location")
# Add an object keyframe (worked before)
bpy.data.objects['Armature.001'].keyframe_insert("location")
