Well, it does influence the inactive color now, which it imo shouldn't. Inactive should be greyed out, not colored with the highlight color. And it works different from Blender 3.6.2, it breaks…

Crash with Lasso select tools in selection masking in vertex and weightpaint mode

Pulled and built from scratch, and the crash is gone. Seems that this one is already fixed :)
