GPU renders bright, CPU renders dark in 4.3+
CPU in 4.3+ also renders a lot slower than in 4.2. So it is clearly a CPU problem.

While talking about "non-square pixels": Will this patch also write the pixel aspect ratio to image files that support it, like EXR? This is currently still missing and would be an awesome addition.
I just recompiled after this commit and on Linux Mint 22 with 560 nVidia drivers main still crashes with anything else higher than "0".
