Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Note that following is a list of goals and discussion items within the UI Module. Some items might have complete and approved designs, and are allocated time and resources, while others need much more discussion, design, and consideration. This is a place to gather and keep track of the things that we like and want.
Therefore don't consider the following as concrete plans, but as things that we consider important and will continue to discuss and work toward. They certainly get more aspirational the longer the term. As these items get design, attention, mockups, and comments we'll try to create specific documents and link to them.
Short Term
Consolidation of Operator Dialogs #117489Dialog improvementsMedium Term
Consistent placement for modal operators infoRendering as font instead of bitmapSeparate SVG filesUI Experiment: Named Undo Snapshots #118091Long Term
UI: Improved Operator to Delete Custom Themes #118775Although it may not be appropriate to leave this here, please consider the following points if there will be a major overhaul of the Blender keymap in the future.
View Manipulation as a Top-Level Setting: It would be beneficial if view manipulation were treated as a top-level setting. Many software applications separate view manipulation to allow users from other software to easily adapt. This is particularly important for users who work with multiple applications like Maya and Substance Painter.
Tracking Keymap Changes: It would be helpful if there were a way to identify which keymaps have been added or changed from previous versions. As a long-time Maya user who uses a custom keymap based on the IC keymap, I often find myself having to open the Blender keymap and make adjustments whenever there are major version changes.
